We have created a homely environment with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. With a range of lounge and dining areas, activity rooms and outdoor decks and courtyard gardens, residents can have their own space and choose where they like to spend their time. We provide a safe, comfortable home for residents without compromising privacy or independence.
Our campus is designed to accommodate residents with different needs and levels of care, dementia care and palliative care.
Catering team
Residents enjoy home-cooked meals which are prepared, cooked and served under the supervision of qualified chefs and cooks.
Glenella offers a seasonal menu, with consideration given to variety, selection, choice and nutritional benefit to your health and wellbeing.
The seasonal menu is reviewed by a qualified dietician with particular focus given to meet individual resident dietary requirements such as diabetics, low fat, low salt, high protein, food allergies and food allergens such as nuts and gluten, vegetarian and food choices to meet religious needs.
A member staff will assess your dietary needs, food likes and dislikes and meal size preferences on admission and collect your daily menu choice.
Meal times are 7am – 9am breakfast; 12pm – 1pm Lunch; 5pm – 6pm Dinner.
Three meals and snacks are served daily including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper.
The catering team comprises of a chef, cook and catering assistants.
Housekeeping team
All aspects of housekeeping, including laundry services, cleaning and spring cleaning, are taken care of by Glenella Care’s personalised housekeeping staff
Trained personnel handle your personal clothing items with care and will wash, dry, fold, hang and return all marked clothing items to your room.
Coat hangers, personal mesh washable laundry bags and baskets to deliver personals are supplied where applicable.
All personal clothing items brought into the facility must be tagged with your name. All bagged clothes should be handed to the Registered Nurse.
Residents and or representatives should allow up to 48 hours for clothing to be returned labelled. Clothing labels are charged to the resident for a small fee.
Relatives or representatives can assist by completing a seasonal exchange of resident’s clothing from winter to summer wardrobe. In addition, an annual declutter exercise of personal clothing and belongings will assist staff in the maintenance of safe storage of personal clothes and belongings.
